The OrphanAge is a Zine with a rough-n-tumble aesthetic that aspires to share the weird, the disenfranchised, and the finest in new art and cultural criticism. We are okay with edgy and we prefer boundary pushing. After all, we believe that nothing makes art shine quite like spit. With that being said, we will not accept screeds against race, sexuality, or gender, etc, and any invective needs to be reasoned and clever. Do not waste our time with soft skull bigotry.
Our take on art is similar to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling[1] on hardcore pornography. We will know it when we see it. So we invite you to shock us, mock us, make us laugh, cry, shit and piss. With your art, we will celebrate what it means to be human.
The OrphanAge is a curated Zine and submission does not guarantee publication. You and you alone are legally responsible for any work you submit, and you wholly absolve The OrphanAGE and its staff from any and all legal responsibility for your work.
